The mouse brain atlas page show the antibody staining in mouse brain, covering 129 brain areas and subfields, listed here.
This page contains basic gene information and a summary of staining pattern and protein distribution. Human tissue RNA category is noted and more information about the RNA categories can be found at about & help. Mouse gene id is listed and links to the ensemble information for the specific gene. The annotation summary provides a short description of the observed pattern in mouse brain. Stained cells/structures are also listed, separately. Reliability is based on previously known data; support from other databases leads to a supportive score, while more unknown targets are viewed as uncertain and awaits further validation.
Different cell types and structures are exemplified here.
Below the text based information is the view tool; full screen is possible by clicking (symbol) as well as zooming in and out in the image. In the right hand corner is the section overview with approximated bregma positions in the mouse brain, theses sections are click-able and it is through this possible to explore different regions in the mouse brain. The selected example images are marked as orange squares in the full section. Regions of interest (ROI´s) are found as, these are markings for the area used for image analysis and calculation of relative fluorescence intensity.
The relative fluorescence intensity is listed in the table below along the different mouse brain locations and the sub regions. When a region is missing, this is marked with N/A in the list. When clicking on a certain region it will appear in the view tool for visual examination.
The antibody used for the mouse brain profile is listed at the bottom, click on the link for more information about the antibody.
